Hi John. My husband, Bobby Coates, belongs to this DNA group. He is the g-grandson of Nathaniel A. Coats. I have searched and searched for the connection to Nathaniel & Alexander but have been unsuccessful so far. I know there is one because of verbal information Bobby's father, Clarence Alexander Coates, passed down to him. The name Alexander has also been passed down from generation to generation in Bobby's family. I would enjoy reviewing the long email list as to why some might not want to test.
