The file contained a lot of names and dates of this family but almost no sources for the information. Warwick Coats (b. 11/3/1715) was a shipwright of Moyamensing, PA who married Sarah Kelly on 5/11/1777. Their son was Warwick Coats, Jr. who married Mary Plumsted (daughter of Thomas P.) The parents of Warwick, Sr. were John Coats (1684-3/16/1760), a brickmaker, and Mary Hule who married c. 1713. The mother of this John Coats was Joan Sisum Coats. Her children were John, Mary, William, Thomas, and George (not necessarily in that order). They came from Gloucester or Lincolnshire, England as agents of their maternal uncle, Thomas Sisom (the spelling varies).
