I have some information about Bulford F Griffin. In the Annals of Newberry by John Belton O'Neall and John A Chapman Bulford F Griffin was the brother of General John K Griffin I believe that was K for King.John K Griffin was a Deacon in the Bush River Baptist Church and served as Clerk in the Church. He was followed by his brother Bulford F Griffin received as a member in the Bush River Baptist Church on 12 Nov 1831 on the 6th of Aug 1841 he succeeded his deceased brother as Clerk.and is now in the discharge of his duties. They memtion Mill Creek now Cross Roads Church proceeded from Bush River Church.. Also a member was Charles Griffin b 23 June 1763 he died 09 Aug 1820 Rev Soldier and joined Bush River Baptist Church 9th July 1803. Another entry.. Bluford F Griffin (father of the late Bluford Griffin of Newberry) died and left widow Agnes. His first wife was the mother of his children. Most of the quotes of the Book were from wills. Most of the Griffins owned property and left wills. There is a good amount of information on Newberry CO SC and Old Pendleton Dist SC. The name Bulford is uncommon and could be handed down since father and son named that in early & mid 1800's.
