He descended from James of Edgefield who was the son of Gentleman John as proven by wills and deeds. I think I threw this info away, because it wasn't my line. Gary Coates was with the 11th Cav in Veitnam and I believe he may be partially disabled. He works as a night janitor at the grade school and uses their computer. He is also an itinerant preacher. I paid for his DNA tests just to prove a point. I thought this was all settled. Some of his info came from Ancestry.com, but there is no doubt about it, at least in my mind.
