Not sure this made it to the list...Char ----Original Message Follows---- From: James Coats <jimnell1@itexas.net> To: Charlotte * <coats@hotmail.com> Subject: Re: [COATES-L] Austin and Elijah Coates, Wilkinson Co, MS Date: Mon, 29 May 2000 15:52:09 -0500 Charlotte , This is Nell Coats. My nephew Larry Burl Coats married Elizabeth Catherine Coates of New Orleans La. Austin Coats is part of the names of males they have repeated in that particular Coates family from generation to generation. The family as far back as they have traced began in Mississippi. On site for different parishes in Louisiana is a phelora of Coates that descend or appear to descend from Austin Coates and that Miss. family . I have not pursued them since they are not our direct line. Rather I have been searching for my particular brick walls and we have several. Nell Coats Suggestion maybe we could post some of our collateral lines and the areas we are searching for to this web site . Often we run across information that benefits someone else that is also looking for needles in haystacks.
