Yes, that is the impression I'm getting that there are two Austins...or several as it appears here...<g>...but the Austin in TN is a different one it seems... If I understand the situation correctly, the Austin Coates of Wilkinson Co, MS must be another Austin (i.e. *not* the son of William and Susannah) because William and Susannah's Austin was living in Tennessee in the 1830's and married another Dismuke. The Wilkinson Co, MS Austin died in the late 1820's (if memory serves) and married a Margaret Kuhn (Coon). So just as there are lots of Sions floating around, there seems to be a surplus of Austins too. I might point out that there is a Sion L. Coates from SC who died in Cherokee AL and had a son named Austin. There is a Sion L.
