You know it's a pity that the DNA testing is not aimed at the female descendants since so many of us have an interest and strong documented trail to our ancestors. The Joan Sisom group that you ask about is likely my line - at least I can firmly document back to the Thomas Coates that is thought to be her son. I understand the reasoning for using the male lines but I felt that I had to have my say on the subject - sorry I have no male Coates to offer.
