" 65 F GA > M. E. Coates 18 F GA > > Do you have any idea who this person might be? D.H. McCleskey is David Henderson McCleskey, s/o James McCleskey and Isabella Rhea. He was born 2 August 1783 in Abbeville Dist., SC. He would have been 67 instead of 60 ad the message shows. M. McCleskey is Martha Ivey Jarrett, d/o Howell Jarrett and Jane Smiley Coates. She was born 9 April 1875 in Wilkes Co., GA. Jane Smiley Coates is believed to have been the daughter of Nathaniel Coates and Martha Lamar. The M.E. Coates of the census record could have been some kind of maternal relative of Martha Ivey Jarrett McCleskey. Does anyone know who she was? Margaret McCleskey, Arlington, TX
