"Bush River and Cane Creek Meetings of South Carolina became the seed-bed of Midwestern Quakerism as Friends moved first to the Miami Valley of Ohio, then to Wayne Co., Indiana, and on the Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Oregon, Cal. and Texas. Having seen the evils of slavery first hand, these transplanted Southerners became leaders in the antislavery movement and assisted in the rescue of hundreds of slaves through the Underground Railroad. " >From Equity Book 1840 David Boyd died 1829 leaving his widow Polly (who married Van Davis in 1830) and daughter Martha Jane Boyd. He died leaving 100 acres "Till Tract" bounded by James Garner__-ETc Equity 1820 (Check this for Davis/ Hunter/Abernathy-Val) James Teague died Apr 1816 with LWT in which he gave 100 acres to his wife Elizabeth. Elizabeth Teague (widow) remarried Jacob Crouch. She died intestate leaving her husband Jacob Crouch and children; Dorothy G. (married Samuel Davis), John W Teague, William Teague, and Ann Teague, Eliz Teague Crouch died possessed of 100 acres on Indian Creek bounded by John W. Teague, Robert Boyd, Harmon Shell, Providence McAdams, and william Hunter. (I think this is the property that John Abernathy sold to William Hunter) I have copied Land Grant Maps and when I piece this puzzle together , I'll pass along what I find.

Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
