Hello. This is my first posting to the group. My connection to the CLOUSE family is through my great great great grandmother: Altamira Clouse (1850 - aft 1900). She was married to John Milliken/Millican on 24 Mar 1870. This group is from TN. I don't know much about this branch of my family as it is an unusual circumstance that has taken me a long time to unravel. Altamira and her husband John Milliken/Millican had a daughter named Eliza or "Lizzie" that had an illegitimate child and then seems to have vanished into thin air. I can find no record of her. The illigetimate child was my great grandmother: Maudie Corder Milliken (who married into the Snoddy family: Smith Co., TN > Stewart Co., TN). We have yet to locate the name of the father of Maudie, as she ran away from home to marry and never had further contact with her Clouse kin, nor did she speak of them much. Altamira's parents were Benjamin Clouse and Susannah Suttle. I have much on the Suttle side of the family but very little on the Clouse side, beyond a skeleton pedigree chart of a few names and dates. I would appreciate any help that this list can give.
