I know of your Clouse family and have done a lot of research trying to make the connection. So many of the same names, there has to be one someplace. As far as my Clouse family, they did not go to Canada and can be found in the New Jersey census. I believe my family first settled in Morris county, New Jersey and moved to Sussex. In the 1870 census they can be found in Sussex County, New Jersey. Ironically, there farm sits next to another Clouse family headed by Jacob, born 1830 in Pennsylvania who I feel are also connected in some way. Have you tried looking for their roots in PA?
