My husband's 3 GGrandfather, Bernhart/Bernard Clouse came from there to Dubuque Co, Iowa in abt 1851 with his wife, Affra Fisher. They were the parents of 4 children that I know of forsure: Margaret b. abt 1851, William b. abt 1852, George b. 12 Oct 1854, and Wilhelmina b. abt 1856. Bernard change the spelling of the name to CLAUS. And we now spell the name KLOUS. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
