The James Clouse in question [b. ca. 1859 in MO] was the son of Aaron & Ellen Clouse. In the 1880 census they were living next to another James Clouse [b. ca. 1847 in TN] and his wife, Mary. Aaron, as was James, born in Tennessee. I have looked at these families in the past and have not proven their origin, but I have SPECULATED that James b. ca. 1847 is the son of Henry George & Elizabeth Ann Walker Clouse of Claiborne Co., TN. They had a James born in 1847 in Tennessee and the family moved to Missouri. Both parents died in the 1860's in New Hampton, Harrison Co., MO. I have nothing on Henry having had a brother named Aaron but I am looking for that connection.
