Hello Susie, I would tend to agree with you, as the name is not all that common. My Leonard tended towards biblical names for his children, but this could have been the wife's inclination. Your Chirstopher is certainly in the right date range to be a closer connection - as you say it's finding it. I'm just stuck against a brick wall of Leonard being born ca 1765 in Sussex Co. NJ. Don't have a map handy but I believe that PA is right there close.
