    3. Deb & Y'All - Here is the family of John Tate Milligan as in the 1880 census. It does not have Minnesota listed. I have her DOB as 1873 and that of her husband as 1881. This leads me to think that a typo along the way and her DOB should be 1883. Also the DOB of Alonzo has been reported as being ca. 1885 and should be ca. 1878. ALSO - the reported DOB for Almira has been 1850 and should possibly be 1856 AND John Tate's DOB was reported as being 1846 and is possibly 1848 instead. - - - - - - - - - - -(SNIP)- - - - - - - - - 1880 Census Place: District 11, White, Tennessee Source: FHL Film 1255285 National Archives Film T9-1285 Page 487D Relation Sex Marr Race Age Birthplace J. Benjamin was the brother of my husband's gg-grandfather John Clouse. I don't have a lot on Alta Myrah, but that she was married to John Tate Milligan, and they had at least two daughters, Belle and Minnesota. My husband's Clouses left TN for TX in the late 1880s, so I don't have tons of info on the folks born after they left.

Surnames: Clouse/Klaus Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/zIJ.2ACEB/291 Message Board Post: I am trying to find more information about my gggrandfather's family. Hope you can help. Please email me at JCRausch@aol.com if you have even a tidbit of info for me. My tree begins with Michael Klaus, b 1/11/1800, d. 9/7/1887. He immigrated to the US from Hessen German about 1838. He married Maria Eva Schmidt (date unknown) who was b 4/8/1811, d. 1/26/1891. They had 9 children. The name Klaus was changed to Clouse sometime about late 1800's. From the land records we've found, the spelling fluctuates back and forth for a period of about 20 years, then seems to be solidly "Clouse" after 1900. Four of their children, George, Michael, Barbara and Magdalene, we know nothing about. We have some estimated birthdates: George - 1842, Michael - 1846, Barbara 1849, Magdalene - 1852. If you can help me find Michael's parents or the siblings, please email me! Thanks Joyce
