TX Burial Crypt: Above ground Parents: Dr. Evander Kennedy and Mary Pauline Gough/Goff Spouse: William Augustine Cloud Married: 24 July 1835 Lowndes Co. AL Elizabeth moved with her parents to Lowndes Co. AL when she was thirteen years old. She was of Presbyterian faith. My records state that she was in Lowndes Co. AL in 1831 and 1835. The Federal Census for 1840 gives she was in Farmersville Union Parish LA age 32. By 1850 Federal census she was living in Bagdad Williamson Co. TX age 41. She remains in Williamson Co. TX until her death. There is a wonderful story about when William Augustine Cloud and Elizabeth were moving to California, due to his bad health. The jostling of the wagon was to much for Elizabeth "Gracey", so she bought a horse and named it rock. She rode that horse as far as Brushy Creek in central TX (1851) carrying a baby and a child behind her while riding on long stretches of prairie. The only disappointment was she lost her umbrella on the trip.
