    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Cloud, Herald, Harrell Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YNJ.2ACIB/149.163.212.2 Message Board Post: I too am looking for the Clouds in South Carolina. In Joseph Clouds 1851 will, he gave a slave name Reuben to his son, John. In the 1860 census, I find a Reuben Herald (14 years old, black) living one house away from James Cloud. Also, in the 1860 census, I find my great grandfathe, Napoleon Herald (15 years old, mulatto) living next door to Austin Cloud. I am trying to find out if Napoleon and Rebuen (brothers) were freed by the Clouds between 1851 and 1860. Any help would be appreciated.

    3. I have secondary material that says that Reuben was willed to son James H. Cloud, not John. My secondary material is not consistently reliable, but if it is true that Reuben was willed to James H., you might have some luck if you explore documents related to James H. Cloud. ----- Original Message ----- From: <dellabeaver@comcast.net> To: <CLOUD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, December 09, 2003 5:48 AM Subject: [CLOUD-L] Re: African-American CLOUD > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Cloud, Herald, Harrell > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YNJ.2ACIB/149.163.212.2 > > Message Board Post: > > I too am looking for the Clouds in South Carolina.
