Can someone on the list tell me if the Cloud Family Journal is still being published. I sent in my membership fee in April 2002 and have not received anything yet. Who can I contact about this? Rhonda
Rhonda, The Cloud Family Journal is indeed still being published, and is still being published by a true professional genealogist who does this work as well as teaching at Cloud Family Association meetings (ex., Austin, TX, 7/12/02) without remuneration. Unfortunately, circumstances have delayed the past two issues. A combined issue is planned for distribution soon. Long-time members have the same question that you have, but it is particularly unfortunate that it was your first issue that was delayed. On behalf of the officers and Board members of the Cloud Family Association (CFA) I apologize to you and all other members and subscribers for the delay, disappointment, and possible frustration. I apologize to you personally! Please bear with us if you will, or let us know how we can "make it up" to you. I should also tell you that more people have dedicated significant efforts to CFA recently than at any time other than the time of an annual Cloud Family Gathering. An active Board of 16 members representing eight states is busy with CFA business, which has also taken some time away from Journal preparation, and you should be receiving announcements soon. Again, sorry for the delay; and, best wishes, Cec (son of Merle Cloud Stokes) Cecil Stokes, President The Cloud Family Association in response to what iceman70 wrote: >Can someone on the list tell me if the Cloud Family Journal is still being published.
