McCall, (Baltimore: Genealogical Publishing Co., 1968), p. 126 Thomas Wellborn, b. 1760, N.C.; d. April 13, 1836, Putnam Co., Ga. A Rev. Soldier. Certificate for bounty land-- "This certified that Thomas Wellborn has steadfastly done his duty as a Rev. Soldier from the time of the passing an act at Augusta, Ga., Aug. 21, 1781, until the total expulsion of the British from the State of Ga. Signed Col. Elijah Clark." He mar. (1) Sarah W.
