Well, I am not sure how accurate this is, but in looking thru the 1810 census I found the following: Bennett Shelton, p. 547, Hattom, Montgomery Cty, NC. Indicates he is between 26 - 44. Also, a daughter under the age of 10, and I suspect wife, between 16 - 24. He is shown in NC vice VA. 1790 and 1800 census do not show VA for some reason. Lura
