To Harry and others interested, I think there were two Benjamin Franklin CLOUDs you are contending with. Benjamin Franklin CLOUD, the physician s/o Benjamin CLOUD & Susannah BONDURANT, married in Webster Co MO 17 Dec 1856 to Columbia BOULDIN. His wife's name was Columbia in the 1860 census which had his mother living in his household. It is my belief Benjamin Franklin who married Nancy MIDDLETON in Claiborne Co TN 14 May 1850 was s/o Greenberry CLOUD & his wife Barthena. I also believe Greenberry (married Barthena) and Benjamin (married Susannah) were brothers, making the two named Benjamin Franklin first cousins. Greenberry & Benjamin I believe were brothers of Joseph who married Jane CARPENTER, their father being William CLOUD & Elizabeth MORGAN. Greenberry named a son Morgan CLOUD according to census records – James Chick was guardian 5 Dec 1854 for the minor G.B.M. CLOUD, so he might have been Greenberry Morgan CLOUD although that is just speculation on my part. Regarding the mention of dates of wills written, then probated, I don't think there are very many which wait this long: court records show Joseph CLOUD died between 11 Aug & 11 Nov 1823, but the final settlement of his estate was not made until 18 Nov 1854 in Claiborne Co, some 31 years later.
