Susan James William Cloud was the son of Robert Cloud and Joan Norys of Wiltshire, England. He purchased land in 1682 from William Penn in what is now Chester county, Pennsylvania. He came to America aboard the ship Unicorn in that same year, bringing his family with him. Dear Tom, Thought you might want to know that ship records indicate a slightly different arrival scenario for your family bio blip. According to ship records, Joseph Cloud (son of Wm. & Susan) came to PA a year before his father and brothers. Joseph arrived in Upland, (later renamed Chester) on the Bristol Factor on 12/15/1861. He was listed as a servant to John Bezer from Bishops Canning, Wiltshire, who also was traveling on the Bristol Factor, as were Bezer's wife, Susanna, and children, John, Richard, Susanna, Elizabeth, and Frances.
