(JUNE) Pet Buis, Jr. (June), age 80, of Tazewell was born March 8, 1925 and departed this life June 20, 2005. He was saved at an early age and was a member of Neals Chapel Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific Theater, and a former alderman of the Town of Tazewell. He was preceded in death by his parents: Pet Buis, Sr. and Ollie Cloud Buis; wife: Helen Neal Buis; one brother: Walter Buis; sisters: Grace Ford and Rachel Buis. He is left to mourn his memory, son and daughter-in-law: Ted and Sun Buis; daughter: Regina Buis Clark both of Tazewell; daughter and son-in-law: Deborah and Ken Fanney of Thorn Hill; grandchildren: Brock, Allen and Sabrina Buis; Cathy Laws, Kendall Fanney; great grandchildren: Antione Cloud, Syan Buis, Brooklyn Buis, Noah Buis, Brice Laws, Lebron Buis; brothers and sisters-in-law: Henderson and Betty Buis of Tazewell, Charles (Dink) and Charlotte Buis of Middlesboro, Ky; brother-in-law: James Neal; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank everyone who helped to comfort us in our loss. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. May God bless each and every one. Funeral services were Thursday, June 23 at 7 p.m. at the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Pastors: Rev. Alvin Douglass, Rev. Charles Simpson, Jr., Rev. Pete Ford officiating. Songs by Rev. Alvin Douglass and Mrs. Alice Douglass. Burial was Friday, June 24 at 10 a.m. at the Breastworks Cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers: Terry Cloud, Tony Cloud, Robert Dibrell, Bruce Ford, Dayton Parkey, and William Parkey. Honorary pallbearers: Ed Hardin III and Ronald Keck. Flower girls: nieces.
