Tom -- William Cloud, Rev. S., was born about 1750, either in Rowan Co., NC, or Fairfax Co., VA. He died in Carroll Co., VA, on Feb. 8, 1842. After the Rev., he had many interests in Tennessee and prob. spent some time there, but as far as we know he never settled down there. His son William Morgan Cloud, however, did live in Hawkins Co., TN, for a number of decades before he moved farther west (to Missouri, I think). Capt. Cloud (the dad) was noted for the number of his children, the last of whom he sired during his last year living, at the age of 91/92.
