Thomas Lee CLOUD Jr., b 9 Jan 1915 Newton Co MO; d 13 Aug 1915, was s/o Thomas Lee CLOUD Sr. (the scavenger found dead on the road) and Eleanor DORNER. Thomas Lee CLOUD Sr., (the scavenger), d 9 Jun 1923, age 54 years per tombstone in Neosho IOOF Cemetery, Newton Co MO, although the cemetery listing shows his middle initial as "B" which apparently is an error because the date of death on stone matches exactly his death certificate. Thomas Lee CLOUD Sr. was s/o Alexander Cabbage CLOUD & Martha McCORD. See 1880 census of Newton Co MO showing Thomas Lee in the home of his parents. He and his wife, Mary Eleanor, can be found in the 1910 and 1920 census of Newton Co MO, West Benton Township. Alexander Cabbage CLOUD was married to Martha McCORD in Clarksville AR 15 Apr 1857. He was b 8 May 1827 near Jacksboro TN; d 25 Apr 1894 in Newton Co MO. They were in Newton Co MO 1860; McDonald Co MO in 1870; and Newton Co MO 1880. Martha was d/o William McCORD & Lottie BING. This information from the Newton Co MO Goodspeed history which says Alexander C. & Martha went to California in 1849, back home in 1857. Alexander Cabbage CLOUD was s/o Samuel CLOUD Jr. & Elizabeth CABBAGE who were married in Grainger Co TN 9 Apr 1821. Samuel Jr. was b ca 1797 in TN per Newton Co history. The Newton Co history says he went to Arkansas 1844, then to McDonald Co MO in 1857. They were in McDonald Co MO census of 1860 and he d in 1864. Samuel CLOUD Jr. was s/o Samuel CLOUD Sr. and his first wife, Margaret WILSON. Samuel Sr. can be found in census 1850 Claiborne Co TN with his second wife, also named Margaret. Samuel Sr. married Margaret 'Peggy' CUPP in Claiborne Co 15 May 1839. She was divorced from Michael BOWYERS/BOYERS Oct 1829 in Claiborne Co TN. Imogene Bennett Springfield, MO Imogene.Bennett@att.net
