I think I've finally got a way for us to upload and share our documents, histories (and pictures). This is different from the myfamily site it two ways -- (1) no password or membership is required to view anything and, more importantly, (2) each item is linked to the person or persons it references in the database. From the entry page - http://mykindred.com/cloud/TX/ the "Documents" link displays what is there at this point. A nice feature is that the documents link to whoever is referenced by the document -- and the document is referenced from each of those individual's pages, making research much easier. (All new items are also on the "What's New" link.) I'm not too fond of the format -- all of the individuals being listed in one column can make for a very large entry (e.g. for Kernion's genealogy), but I can't think of a better way to do it. Pictures/images are the same way -- any photo or other image (not just pictures, but also pdf files and any image file) can be referenced to any number of people and then that image will have a link placed on those individual's page as well. As most of you know, this is not "my" site, but it is the combined efforts of many of us. If you will submit documents, pictures and anything else you think useful, I will attempt to get it on the web for all the cousins. ....
