I live in East Tennessee and have collected Cloud records for many years. I don't claim to know the most about the Cloud families of East Tennessee, but maybe I can be of some assistance. Ray Shirley rshirley@icx.net It is a bit of a stretch for me to claim Clouds in East Tennessee as my ancestor, Elizabeth CLOUD b. about 1765 in Stokes County North Carolina, was married to Richard BONDURANT while they were still in North Carolina. Their daughter Jane BONDURANT and her husband Nathaniel BARNES were known to have been in Claiborne County, Tennessee, for a time before going on to Hamilton County, Indiana. It seems likely that Elizabeth Cloud and her husband Richard Bondurant were with their daughter in Tennessee on their way to Indiana where they are buried. I wonder if Elizabeth Cloud Bondurant's family were drawn to Claiborne County by Cloud relatives who were there. I seek to identify parents or siblings of Elizabeth. The only lead I have is that she was probably related to an Isom Cloud whose name appears on documents in Indiana. Roberta
