Dear Ken, This really sucks in a big way! I just wanted to reiterate that I, who have depended on you over the years to serve as a most amazing clearance center for Cloud research data, greatly appreciate your role as the Cloud clan's Herodotus (famous ancient Greek historian and storyteller), and to declare now how much I lament the necessity of your new role, that of the Cloud family's Lancelot du Lac (the greatest of King Arthur's knights, slayer of all evil). Hi Ray & Tom Thank you for your response. I was researching the family of Jacob DYE with wife Mary RANDOLPH DYE. Jacob Die/DYE was in Lunenburg County, Virginia 1756 Mill Creek of Mayo River, adjoining Clouds line. A Robert Barret was living next to Joseph Cloud and adj. Randolphs line. To heck if I could find where was this Mill Creek of Mayo River. So, I thought that I would look for where did Joseph Cloud go....I found a Joseph Cloud on Mill Creek of Mayo River Deed Book I, 1791-1801 Patrick County, VA still with a RANDOLPH/RANDOLP family. Now I am trying to identify this RANDOLPH Family. Sending my notes for your review. Thanks.... I would expect you would find these patents along with a survey on the web of the Library of Virginia. Also, I would suppose this Jacob was an adult of 21 or thereabouts, making his birth date at least around 1735 or so. My source: T. L. C.
