Also note that this Mary was only 10 when she married, if I am reading this correctly. Wonder if one date or the other doesn't belong to "this Mary" or was copied incorrectly. (Maybe 1779 should have been 1777 or 1773.) Could she be a sister of our Jeremiah? Apparent association of Boyd and Cloud families during that era continues to be interesting. I have Jacob Cloud, b 1792, son of Samuel Cloud and Margaret Cloud. marr Mary Huddleston 1817 have Children Greenberry, b 1822 Nancy, b unk Eliza, b unkl Mariah, b unk Charlota Jane, b unk Orleana Martha E. Although we lack definitive proof, all available evidence indicates that this Isaac was the son of Isaac Cloud, Jr., but not by the second wife, Joanna, who bore him no children. (Unfortunately, we don't know the name of Isaac Jr.'s first wife.) Therefore, for clarity's sake, I usually call him Isaac III. I base my belief that he was Isaac Jr's son on the following facts: (1) he served in the same company as Isaac Jr.'s sons George and James M. in the Seminole War (which is what the pension ap. is based on); (2) George validated his (Isaac III's) service in an affidavit in 1852 (I think -- I'm doing this from memory) in Polk Co., TN; and (3) his name. At the same time, I grant that he might have been a first cousin out of the Rutherford County, NC, crowd (we don't have a very full record of the names of the children of Isaac Sr.'s other sons). I just noticed that your dates are probably wrong. You have the husband as being born in 1784 and his wife being born in 1876. This can't be right. Which is the correct date?
