Dear cousins .... Please take a look at two emails written to me by Roxanne Fatula Paul <[email protected]>. I'll bet someone can help her -- and maybe fill in some blanks for some of the rest of us also. One of these emails is from 2001 and the other is from yesterday. Here are her two emails to Ellen Crawford and me: >From: [email protected] >Date: Fri, 9 Nov 2001 22:41:52 EST >Subject: May be a clue to Jerry & Jeremiah??? >To: Tom Cloud <[email protected]>, [email protected] > >Tom & Ellen, > >I have been reading the website which contains the Jeremiah you both speak of... > >As you know, my Great grandfather Jessie Warren Cloud was the son of Jerry Cloud. I have the same wife and children for Joseph and Martha Neetles Cloud. Martha was buried 2 May 1852 in the Smyrnia Methodist Church yard . Austin is Austin N. Cloud. The will of Joseph Cloud recorded 13 October 1851. If the will was recorded then when did he die and when was it probated? This has me confused. He must have died either in 1851 or 1852. This copy of the will is from The Cloud Family Journal Vlll Book l pages 22/24. It does not say when the will was proven only recorded in Book 19 pg. 33 (no date) Apt.98 File 413. The will list all of the children by name. Margaret > [Original Message] > From: Claude L. The Federal Census for 1840 gives she was in Farmersville Union Parish LA age 32. By 1850 Federal census she was living in Bagdad Williamson Co. TX age 41. She remains in Williamson Co. The jostling of the wagon was to much for Elizabeth "Gracey", so she bought a horse and named it rock. She rode that horse as far as Brushy Creek in central TX (1851) carrying a baby and a child behind her while riding on long stretches of prairie. I am descended from the union of George Augustus Cloud (son of William Augustine Cloud)and Amanda Jane Pate. I have all the family history. The problem is that it is on paper. The kleiz worm infected my computer and I lost everything on it. I am putting it all back on. There are thousands of names, dates of birth and information on my data base. Please bare with me as I am trying to get it all back together. I am a past vice president for the Cloud Family Association. I do have Margaret Howze book and Ed Clouds book along with about 30 years of Clouds and allied families.
