Their son, William Martin Cloud was adopted by my great grandparents, David Harmon and Jennie Coker Riddle of Athens, TX, after James died and effie got depressed.

Somehow I missed the photo of the male Cloud - as we are of the PA and DEL Clouds, we would love to see the photo. If it can be sent again I would appreciate it. Mary Cloud Morrow

Our Cloud's come from Penna/Del hard to tell as years ago it was Delaware and New Castle countys, that could have been Del. David M was born in Delaware in 1838/39 and died in Swathmore, PA. in 1898. In census in 1850 we have an Emma born 1841. If you have traced the census, it is changed so many times the spelling of the name. Sure was hoping I made a connection. We are org. from Berlin, NJ and there were other Cloud family's in Berlin and WEst Berlin. Just can't make a connection. Take Care and remember me if you come up with any thing else. Joni

Harry et al, I apologize -- as administrator of the list I could have put a stop to this, but I was unable to get online for several days. Betsy implemented a normal and thoughtful automatic reply to emails stating that she was out of town. But this causes havoc with automated-responding lists like this one. Her email program replied to a post from the Cloud-L list .... the Cloud-L list program broadcast her computer's reply -- including back to her -- and there began a loop .... her computer sent out the vacation message, the Cloud-L computer broadcast it back to her and her computer sent another .... ad infinitum. My only option would have been to unsubscribe her from the list, but I was unable to get on-line to do so. .... sorry. It is possible the rootsweb email server software detected her automatic replies and unsubscribed her for me .... else I can't see why this loop isn't still continuing.
