    1. [CLOUD-L] Breakthrough!
    2. John Cloud
    3. All, i was stuck at John William Cloud and didnt know who his father was. i searched on ancestry.com and found his marriage record in Indiana, and noticed that his father's name and mother's name were mentioned!!! Edward Cloud and Eliza Jane Stone!!! According to Harley Cloud on cloudweb.org, Edward's son is "John H."...but according to the data I found, Edward and Eliza are John Williams Cloud's parents. Even the birth date is similar...within a year. anyway, from that break through I traced back to Richard J. Cloud being born around 1527 in England! And then, I even found his is John William Cloud born in 1502. thanks for everyone's support in my frustration. I would like to discuss with Harley on the "John H" and the John William descrapancy. have a good day, John Earl Cloud, Jr. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? 3. Greetings all, I have been back at this for almost a month now...and I have gotten to a few stopping points with no luck. On my mother's side I have been able to trace back to the 1700s on one lineage, and to Ireland in the 1500s on another. But on my father's side...THE CLOUD side, I have hit a brick wall. Ken's Cloudweb.org site is great, but it looks like either I am not connected to Wiliam Cloud, or the connections have not been established. It does mention my Great-Great-Grandfather, John William Cloud, however, the information is limited. Infact the information provided by Jim Brewton lists John William's first 2 children, but not my Great-Grandfather, John Edward Cloud. I know that the John William listed is my GGGF because of his wife listed, Marie Ann Prasuhn, and his 2 children that are listed, Aunt Alta [Alta K] and Uncle Al [Albert William]. I hope that I have not bored you with this long post, but I am hoping that someone out there recognizes these names and can help me. I hope everyone has a very happy holiday. John E. Linda, There are NO attachments with any email from any of the rootsweb email lists. If you are getting an attachment from the CLOUD-L or CLOUD-D (digest) list, then it is a fake and you should delete it immediately. That is an advantage of the rootsweb lists ... - no possibility of receiving any virus through the rootsweb list ... only pure text allowed (prevents macro viruses) ... no attachments allowed (prevents anything else) The only way you could be exposed to a virus is if someone puts a link to a web site that exposes you to a virus -- and that won't be from rootsweb. sincerely, Tom Cloud administrator CLOUD list

    3. You can set your security level a little less stringent and then they should let them thru. Just don't open anything you don't know who sent it. -----Original Message----- From: linda cloud [mailto:lacloud@srvinet.com] Sent: Monday, December 22, 2003 6:55 AM To: CLOUD-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [CLOUD-L] Re: CLOUD-D Digest V03 #133 My server is not allowing any of the attachment through as they are listed as being unsafe. ----- Original Message ----- From: <CLOUD-D-request@rootsweb.com> To: <CLOUD-D@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, December 21, 2003 12:00 AM Subject: CLOUD-D Digest V03 #133 ==== CLOUD Mailing List ==== ..............................................................
