My records show that it was Robert Cloud I (b abt 1528)who married Isabel (Bred) Collins (b abt 1528). It was their son, Robert II (b 23 Aug 1557) who married 2nd wife, Joan Norys (b abt 1597). Their son, William (b 7 June 1621) marrried Susan James (bpt 20 March 1623). This William, who with (among other sons) son Jeremiah, came to PA. Jeremiah (b7 Feb 1658) married Elizabeth Ann Baily (b abt 1667) and fathered Jeremiah II (b 10 Oct 1691) who married (1710) Ann Baily. Too many Baily's can get confusing, but they were different famillies. My ancestor was Jeremiah I and Elizabeth's son, Mordecai (b 1692) who married Sarah Chads in 1714. Although I've not researched the lines of the other children of William and Susan, I do have books with charts of the rest of their family and I do find an Elizabeth Hayes who marries Willliam (b abt 1695), 3rd son of Jeremiah and Eliz. Baily, and brother of my Mordecai. The children listed for William Cloud and Elizabeth Hayes include: Henry, Jeremiah, Daniel, William, Mordecai, Joseph, Margaret, Elizabeth, and Mabel. Hello. I'm looking for any information on the family of JC "Jeff" Cloud. He was born in Missouri in early 1870s. His first marriage produced Elmer "Buck" (1892), Harriet and Della (birthdates unknown). He married Della Riding Box in the early 1900s and had Jessie (1905 - my great-grandmother, married Fred McKinney 1923), Donald (1907), Doan (1909), and Nick (1913 - went to CA during Dust Bowl). I have a Hiram W. Cloud born 14 March 1799 Dearborn IN. Married Nancy Girard on 2 June 1820 IN . He died 3 December 1843 Evansville Vandenburg Co. IN. He was buried in West Franklin IN. Hiram was the son of William Cloud (died 1851) and Hannah Cloud born 1774 VA. I do not have a list of their children but think because of the names used that there is a relationship here. Does anyone else have anything on them? But since the Cloud family showed up in Hamilton Co., IN about the same time as William Sturdivant, I have the notion that they all came together. Clouds, I have been looking at different Censuses and the name commonly listed as Syrene or Cyrene is actually Serena. I found, in a Cantrell family tree a marriage between Lewis Cantrell(Baptist minister) and Talitha Cloud.
