Lura I see just who you are talking about and have changed is middle name. Just where did the Cloud/Black or Black/Cloud name come from, it was like this when I acquired the information. I assumed had nothing to do with race, but rather children brought under the Cloud name by the marriage of their mother to a Cloud and maybe the Cloud had adopted them. Straighten me out if you can. I would like to place some explanation in my data if possible. My cousin, Mary Lou, and I have determined that the grandfather we have been referring to as John Elliot Black/Cloud was actually named John Ellis Black/Cloud. It was as simple as looking at some birth certificates. Both my father's and her mother's birth certificates were attested to by his wife (their mother) and both have listed the father's name as John Ellis vice the John Elliot that we have been carrying. This makes total sense! The parents of John were John Marion Cloud and Mary Ellis.....Just thought I would pass this along...... Lura
