His ancestral chart omits his g-g-grandfather, William Cloud, first son of Jeremiah and Elizabeth Cloud, who married Margaret Frizzle, daughter of Thomas Frizzle and Temperance "Tempy" Ellis. Tempy Ellis' story of being kidnapped by Indians was required reading for all public students in Alabama for many decades. Genl. Cloud's omitted 3rd great grandfather (my 4th g-grandfather), Thomas Frizzle, Tempy's husband, was murdered September 13, 1857 in Pike county Alabama. It was a crime so horrible that it was published in newspapers from Washington, DC, to Lousiana, Georgia and of course Alabama. Though my relatives and I have been told she was full native american, we can't pinpoint which tribe she belonged to. When she married into my family, it caused a pretty big stir, eventually leading to a split in the family. In the first census following her marriage, Ana Eliza did not register with any tribes... or at least we couldn't find any if she did. However, the following census, she registered with multiple tribes, leaving us to still wonder which she truly belonged to. If anyone happens to run across an Ana Eliza in their research, I'd be very grateful to be contacted. Thanks for your time, Kayce
