It has been suggested to me that she was Nancy L. or Liza Cloud, though she went by "Missouri" and married as "Celia" in 1890, to Joel B. Norman. My family oral history also suggests that she was "Indian." Any help on those ideas much appreciated. Using the census info. available on the Stone County usgenweb site, (a great site, by the way) I see that Joseph B. and Sarah C. Cloud show up in the 1870 census with seven children including Mary J, Sherman, Grant and Nancy. By 1880 they have added George, Tom and Martha. Could Margaret be a second name or nickname for Sarah? Some genealogy libraries have copies of Quaker records filling several volumes. Each volume contains keys which help one to interpret the records. Guilford College in NC has a large repository of Quaker records. I assume the Pennsylvania and Delaware state archives will have many records. I have been told that some of the records have been lost. I have William Augustine Cloud, son of Joseph Cloud(1770-1851), Joseph's ancestors are as follows: William, William, Jeremiah, William, Robert, Robert, Unknown. Wiilliam Augustine Cloud had the following siblings: Austin N. born 01/06/1803 Jane born 12/31/1804 Eliza M. born about 1806 Anne C. born about 1807 James H. born 1809 Alice born 1810 John Benjamin born 10/26/1810 He was a twin to William Augustine Anderson J. Cloud born 1815 Douglas Bell Cloud born 03/11/1817 Franklin Darrington born 11/24/1824 Joseph Cloud and wife Martha nettles are buried in Smyrna Methodist Church cemetery in West Wateree, Kershaw County, SC. Austin N. is my wife's Great-great grandfather. He had a son named Joseph who had a son named Charles Anderson whose daughter was named JoAn Cloud. She mariied me and we live in South Charleston, WV. Charles Anderson and JoAn were born in Jacksonville, FL.
