    1. [Clooz] Multiple databases?
    2. Mike Limer
    3. I am just starting to use Clooz and I am researching both my own family and my Wife's family. Does it make any sense to have two databases for the two sides of the family. Any suggestions on how to best setup the databases before I get much entered would be appreciated.

    3. Mike I set up four databases for my side of the family, one for each of my grandparents. My numbering system is A-will 0001, P-land 0001, S-letter 0001 and so on. The letter preceeding the description is the first letter of the surname of one grandparent. Fortunately all four of them had surnames that began with a different letter. When I have a document, such as a marriage certificate, that spans two databases I file it in the binder for the husband but record it in both databases. When I finally get serious about working on my husband's side of the family I will set up four more databases. The most important thing I do with all of these is to copy each one to its own floppy disk when I am through working on it for the day. Backups that are on the same hard disk as the original just do not make sense to me.
