The name fields in the detail screen are there for you to record the people's names as they actually appear in documents, not how you know them or have them recorded in your genealogy program. If the program did this for you, it wouldn't be accurately recording names. This is where you record misspellings and maiden or married names, etc. The program design will not change in this regard.
