    1. Clooz update

    3. Happy New Year, everyone! I wanted to give you an update on the progress of Clooz, and to thank all those who have pre-ordered. By doing so, you have helped me keep going with programming, the cost of which has gotten extremely expensive. I had hoped that Clooz would be out by now. It is not. As programming goes, we continually find new challenges and delays. Since the program has been completely rewritten, there are many different aspects that need to be tested to ensure they work. We're very close to finishing that process, thankfully. About a week ago, I tested the Clooz setup. It's looking great! The hang up with that setup was that not everything was converting from previous versions of Clooz. I was able to test everything and hopefully those problems have been eliminated. The final piece of the puzzle is getting the GEDCOM conversion in place. Then we'll be in beta testing. I'm hoping that will happen within a week. One important thing that everyone should know is that the first version of Clooz 2.0 that is released will not contain all the reports that will ultimately be in the program. There will be some reports, but in order to get the program out there, we will release without all the reports. Everyone that has paid for the upgrade or new version WILL receive a copy of the final version with all the reports. So, my plan is to release the initial version as a download. The final version will go out on CD to all paid users. If the initial download is a problem for anyone, I will work with them to get a copy on CD, but it probably won't be a pretty copy. Thank you all for your patience and confidence in the new version. I am confident you will be pleasantly surprised.
