I have been entering some census records that I have collected and just ran into a problem with adding a new person. I had added some and included an alternate ID so that the number would match my Legacy ID #. This latest one I tried to enter gave me an error message that the alternate ID was already in use. I took it out and tried again to save and got the same message. I deleted the person and did an ID search to be sure what the next available number was and tried again. Still no luck. I again deleted the person and went on to linking other people. Then I went back for one more try, but this time I did not put an alternate ID in. I still got the message that the alternate ID was in use. What am I doing wrong and how can I enter this person? Thank you, Nancy
