Does anyone know if there is a reason why on some grave stones the husband is listed on the left and the wife on the right, while on others the wife is listed on the left and then the husband on the right? I don't see that this is in the order of death as in some cases, the husband has died first and in others the wife has died before the husband. This is nothing more than a curious observation. I tried to make some inference if it was a period of time, but that doesn't hold true either. Or is this just a simple point - it is how the stone was ordered at the time by the family member making the order; or was it just the way that the funeral home ordered the stone- I know from my experiences, the funeral home doesn't always as who is on the left and who is on the right.
