I keep them separate, by nationality Polish, Italian, Lithuanian and Jewish, those being the 4 direct lines from my husband and myself (grandparents) Now if you take on binder say Polish I have the docs put together all births (baptisms), Marriages, Census ect. I do name them birth001, or Marriage001 so Iknow where to look in the binder. If you just put them in order of entering 001-might be a birth, 002 a marriage, I suppose you would have to know and add the file, or binder where that record is stored. But if that works for you then do the easiest.
