    3. I would certainly do it in Clooz. If you do want to keep unrelated people separate, you can create more than one Clooz database. I don't care if all the folks in my Clooz database are related, because many of my ancestors travelled with groups of people who may or may not have been related. If I can't find the ancestors' records, maybe I can trace their neighbors'. Clooz doesn't know or care if the persons you enter are related. I have folks in Clooz that aren't and may never be in my genealogy software. It still gives me ideas on where to look for possible records, though, if neighbors who came from the same place at about the same time have better indicators of just where that place is. (Eg, many of my ancestors came from Posen, Prussia, which is a state now in Poland. Getting a town or even a county makes a search possible that just saying "Posen" doesn't.) I do try not to assume that an unknown "Henry Smith" is the same Henry Smith I'm looking for, so I may have more than one Henry Smith forn about the same time in the same state. If they turn out to be the same person by further research, I'll put them together at that time. >>> Patricia Tidmarsh <[email protected]> 08/04/00 12:30PM >>> Another thing that puzzles me. I want search all the people in a small township and keep a record of the census. In other words make a of the censuses for 1850, 1860 and 1870 for a group of families Can I do this in Clooz? Or more practical to make a separate database, putting only people I am sure are related in the base?
