    3. At present, Clooz cannot reassign ID numbers. I have a number of issues to look at, so I don't know if this will change or not. 3. So, how is planning to work when (1) legacy starts being able to write to Clooz, (2) when the number is already taken by Clooz and (3) legacy decides to re-use the RIN? I know that based on a recent set of entries, I had to manually manipulate legacy to get it to work with Clooz - thus keeping the synch process in tack. -----Original Message----- From: Elizabeth Kelley Kerstens, CG, CGL [mailto:liz@ancestordetective.com] Sent: Sunday, June 18, 2006 12:58 PM To: Dick.Davis@verizon.net; Clooz-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [Clooz] Clooz V2 - Reusing Person ID At present, Clooz cannot reassign ID numbers. 1. Clooz V2 -Recording Cemeteries
    2. Dick Davis
    3. Ok - I am totally confused - and that is something that doesn't happen very often - LOL! I have CloozV2 installed with the interface to Legacy 6 and am trying to get data centered. So, I have been entering (very slowly - as wanting to make sure that I am doing it right first) several cemeteries - both private ones and then once connected to churches. I send a note to Liz on another topic and then asked her briefly how to record cemeteries. She replied that a cemetery is a repository since information is being obtained from it. Before asking the question, I had entered the cemeteries and some churches as businesses - as that make send to me. And has a very nice use of the grid for the businesses - Cemetery -Virginia, Cemetery - Texas - and this looked really good - and made a great deal sense. The problem was that I could not link any people to the business, I could link them to the buildings. I understand the linking people to buildings, and businesses to buildings, but I don't understand why we can't link people to businesses - such as churches, fraternities, etc. - these are businesses and organizations. I know that Liz is trying to get several items corrected quickly - but am I on the right track? Now back to the question - how to enter cemeteries - do I enter them as business or as repositories? Hope someone can explain because I am just down right baffled. Also, if it is easier to explain on the telephone, then give me a phone number and I will call for the explanation. Thanks - Dick (once in a lifetime confused!)

    1. Re: [Clooz] Clooz V2 -Recording Cemeteries
    2. Dick, I'm certainly no expert on entering sources and repositories, I have to carefully think each one out. However, for the two cemeteries I have entered, I have entered them as a repository because I have documents indicating plot locations. I have several other cemeteries that I have a picture of a headstone, or personal knowledge of a grave, I would assume I would also enter them as repositories. HOWEVER, now I'm not sure how what to enter as a Source. Should I reference the source as the name of the Cemetery too? Oh, I'm so confused.
