I have just entered all the details for a birth record and the little block on the main screen is checked. I then linked the parents, but when I go to entere the detail for the parent I receive a message "Do you want to fill the detail from with the previous data?" I click yes, but all that is filled in on the detail screen is the surname. Why aren't all the details from the birth record that I previously entered showing up? According to the users manual those details should be there. I've opened and closed the detail screen, even closed the document, unlinked and linked the parents again, but the details do not duplicate. Am I doing something wrong? Please help. We made the decision on what would transfer to the next details screen based on what type of record it was. Usually only one person is dying in a record, so the decision was made to only transfer the surname since the other people listed would likely be parents or informants.
