    3. Here, Here! I agree that this discussion needs to be concluded off list. This arguing is beginning to look more like a nasty cat fight then a discussion on how everyone can use Clooz. I am new to the list as well as a new user of Clooz. I understand that the program is a stand alone document management tool that was not intended to actively integrate with any other genealogy program, i.e. Legacy, FTM, or TMG, etc. I am sure the ability to initially populate Clooz with all the names and other data from our genealogy programs was done for the user's convenience. We need to remember that Clooz is a way for us to manage the mounds of paper we accumulate while doing our research, and that is all that it is meant to do. From my limited use of Clooz so far I think this is a nifty little program that, if used within the confines of its intended use, will be a significant help to all. We need to remember that Clooz, from what I can tell, was not developed by some huge software house. Program development and enhancements are done in smaller increments. From what I can see Liz is doing her best to answer everyone's questions and to learn from our suggestions. I know everyone is anxious to use Clooz and their discussions are well intended, but let's be patient. Rome was not built in a day. This does not however, mean I don't have a small suggestion of my own. The one thing I have found lacking, at least I haven't found it yet, is that there is no detailed Glossary. I think this would go a long way in helping identify what category a particular document would fit into, i.e. the cemetery question; is it a repository or a building, or is it a business? I think things like this, is what has people confused. Adding a Glossary would not require a major enhancement to the program, and would not require any reprogramming. It could be a simple downloadable Word or PDF file from the Clooz website. Specifically defining terminology and the various documents with examples would be very beneficial. I do have one question; if a person has a significant number of new names they want to add to Clooz, would it be possible just to generate a new GEDCOM file and repopulate the existing Clooz database? This would certainly save a huge chunk of time. Has anybody tried this? Finally, I would rather hear what types of filing systems people are using along with Clooz for all those pieces of paper they're collecting. I am not only new to Clooz, but also relatively new to genealogy. Discussions like this would be tremendously helpful to beginners like me and to anyone else thinking of digging up their past. (pun intended) So let's get back to having fun finding out who we are and where we came from. Thanks for you patience, Don Short
