I like to embed the id number into some of my filing. Correspondence especially. For example LET-IIIII-999x where IIIII is the ID number of the person writing the letter, 999 is a unique number for the letter and x is a lower case number to identify multiple pages (b,c,d,etc.) This lets me easily add new documents, but keeps all the letters from a specific individual together.
