The first issue of the new digital magazine, Digital Genealogist, is now available for a free PDF download from www.digitalgenealogist.com. The magazine will come out bimonthly, and subscriptions are US$20 annually. The first issue is posted as a sample; future issues will be available by subscription only. The new magazine is edited by Elizabeth Kelley Kerstens, CG, CGL, a long-time editor of genealogical publications, including her current publications of NGS NewsMagazine and UpFront with NGS. Liz is also the former editor of Genealogical Computing, the APG Quarterly, and OnBoard, the newsletter of the Board for Certification of Genealogists. Readers will see articles pertaining to the use of technology in genealogy from well-known authors, including Drew Smith, Laura Prescott, David Rencher, AG, CG, FUGA, and Elissa Scalise Powell, CG. The magazine is delivered by e-mail in PDF format, allowing readers to click through the links in the magazine and explore the websites discussed by authors, as well as viewing the websites of advertisers.
