I just successfully installed Clooz 2.0 and imported my gedcom file without a hitch. But now I have a dilemma when getting started: I used to consider myself very good at recording sources. However, I must have missed the boat. Here is an example. For each and every RECORD that I found in the SSDI, I created a unique Source in my Family Tree Maker file. i.e. JOHN Brown SSDI, and Laura Roberts SSDI. So now that I have imported my gedcom into Clooz 2.0, I have a bunch of SSDI sources, when there should only be one source for the SSDI, and each record linking to the one source. I have two questions. 1. Instead of deleting all these SSDI sources, is there a way that I can change these sources to records within Clooz? If I cannot, is there a way that I can reimport my gedcom and exclude sources, since they are apparantly very redundant. 2. Whether or not the answer to (1) is yes or no, how should I properly enter the source for SSDI? The instructions for entering documents prefaces that it will explain how to enter SSDI, but I read through it and it really does not give an example. The only thing I can narrow down is that I enter the source of SSDI as a document - but that is about it. Author? Publication Place? Edition? Volume??? Help! But SSDI records need to have sources cited. Most likely, you found the record on the Web. So why not change the SSDI sources to Web sources and record where the information came from? There are instructions for changing source types in the online help in the program. > > 2. Whether or not the answer to (1) is yes or no, how should I > properly enter the source for SSDI?
