    1. RE: [Clooz] updating Clooz from Legacy
    2. Kathy Wallace
    3. Thanks for the replies Gary and Georgia. It would a pretty big drawback doing double entry. So far I don't find Clooz all that intuitive but admit that I haven't devoted hours to it. I'll have to give it some thought. So far I've been just using Excel to keep track of documents and Clooz might be a better solution than that. I have also been filing things under names rather than type of document (census etc). I'm not new to genealogy so have a lot of paper and electronic info - not much of which is organized to maximize retrieval unfortunately. I guess that no matter which method one chooses the key is to use it thorough, documenting diligently filing and re-filing etc. Right now I'm looking at a rather untidy workspace and that is where I'll start today. I think that I'll check the Legacy boards/list and see if others have talked about it there. There in lies the problem. You must be the judge whether that extra effort is worth using a separate program such as Clooz. The alternative is encouraging Legacy programmers to incorporate a cataloging module within the Legacy program itself. The ultimate solution. Everything is explained there. I worked hard on that online help so that everything would be understandable. I'm working on the Clooz 2 manual and it should be available for download soon. But, all the directions are there for what you're trying to do. After you've linked your Clooz and Legacy databases together, you can't currently add people to Clooz that you've added to Legacy. You can, however, add people to Legacy when you're adding them to Clooz. So that's the better way to go at present. Hopefully Millennia will add that feature to Legacy. 3. I didn't see original my posting come through. Here it is again in the event it helps clarify somewhat for anyone else who may be on the fence with Clooz. 1. Report of Current Document Printout
    2. Roland & Dana Limpert
    3. In the previous version of Clooz you could click on a button to "Preview a Report of the Current Document" on the document entry screen and then printout a copy of the document entry, census record or whatever you were viewing with the linked people and the information entered for each person. That button & option appears to be missing from the update. I looked in the online manual but I could find no mention of printing out a single document entry. The reports function does not provide this option and I found it useful to printout a copy of the Clooz information to keep with the document. Thanks for any help. Roland
